According to the IMO regulations the following solid and liquid waste can be burned in an IMO certified shipboard incinerator:

1.Plastic, cardboard, wood.

2.Rubber, cloth, oily rags, lub oil filters.

3.Diesel engine scavenge scraping.

4.Paint scraping.

5.Food waste, etc.

6.Sludge oil, waste lubrication oil.

7.Hospital waste, female hygienic binds.

8.Destruction of contaminated water.
