Introduction:

Data Simulator is a precision instrument designed for generating the  reply echo pulse for echo sounders and fish finders.

Theory:

 Data Simulator receives the incoming pulse parameters from echo sounder/fish finder and generates echo pulse to simulate the bottom or fish information and then sends the information back.
